Creating basic vector shapes in Flash is similar to creating shapes in Illustrator. Flash has a number of different tools for creating shapes, as shown in the quicktime movie below. The most commonly used tools for creating shapes are the circle and rectangle shape tools. More complex shapes can be made by using the point-selection arrow at the top right. The movie below shows how a basic rectangle and circle are created and then altered by changing the colors and points of the shape.
