The Grad Lab is pleased to announce the addition of the Avid Media Composer software bundle. Avid Media Composer, the industry standard Non-Linear Editing (NLE) System for film and video, is now available in the Main Lab on the HD Video Editing Station and on the Video Editing 1 Station.  Additionally, both Video Editing Suites 1 and 2 also have the Media Composer software bundle installed.
 
Avid Media Composer offers advanced editing, color correction, file management and work flow features when compared to many of the leading consumer and pro-sumer NLE platforms. So if you have been running into the limitations of other video editing software or just want an expanded feature set Avid might work for you.
 
The Grad Lab was able to obtain these 4 seats based on the need for Avid expressed by the student body. The use of these 4 seats will help us evaluate whether or not Avid is being utilized and or if more or fewer seats are needed in the future.
